The architects plans will give the dimensions required. In this case we have increased the dimension, the pit being at least 2 cubic metres.

Ensure that the pipes going into the pit are sufficiently low so as not to be disturbed or impacted by whatever is to be above the pit.

The soakpit is filled with clean stone.

The pit is covered with a geotextile material, which will stop fine particles from being washed into the pit.
